These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ascendance.gg website and services. By booking a service or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services. By booking a service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet this requirement.
Ascendance.gg provides remote PC optimization services including Windows optimization, BIOS configuration, game settings optimization, GPU/CPU/RAM overclocking, troubleshooting, PC building assistance, and dual PC streaming setup. All optimization services are delivered remotely via Discord screen share or remote access software. We also offer custom PC builds through our parent company, Lanforge, which are fulfilled separately (see Section 16).
Services must be booked through our website using Discord authentication and paid for via PayPal prior to the service being performed. Prices displayed on service cards are the final prices you will be charged at checkout.
By completing a booking, you agree to the price shown at checkout, you authorize us to charge the stated amount via PayPal, and you accept these Terms and our Refund Policy. The date and time of your agreement is recorded and stored.
To deliver our services, you grant Ascendance.gg staff temporary remote access to your PC via screen share or remote desktop software during the scheduled session. You understand that our staff will be making changes to your system settings, including BIOS settings, Windows configuration, driver settings, and software configurations as appropriate for your booked service. You should back up important data before your session. You may observe all changes being made in real-time and may end the session at any time.
Overclocking involves operating computer components beyond their factory-specified limits. While we take every precaution to ensure safe and stable configurations, you acknowledge that overclocking inherently carries some risk, including potential for increased heat output, reduced component lifespan, and in rare cases hardware instability. All overclocked configurations are extensively stability tested before the session concludes. Any overclock can be reverted to stock settings at any time, either during the session or afterward with our guidance.
Ascendance.gg performs a free evaluation of your hardware before proceeding with overclocking services. If your system does not meet the requirements for safe overclocking (inadequate cooling, incompatible motherboard, etc.), we will inform you and offer to downgrade to a lower tier or cancel with a full refund.
Ascendance.gg is not responsible for pre-existing hardware defects or failures that occur independently of our service, software issues caused by third-party applications installed after our service, damage resulting from customer modifications after our service, or issues arising from power surges, physical damage, or environmental factors.
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Appointments are scheduled through our website and confirmed via Discord ticket. We will make every reasonable effort to begin your session at the scheduled time. If we need to reschedule, we will notify you via your Discord ticket with at least 24 hours notice when possible.
If you need to reschedule, please notify us via Discord at least 24 hours before your appointment. Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without notice may result in the session being marked as a no-show.
You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose, misrepresent your identity or hardware configuration, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data, harass, abuse, or threaten our staff, or reverse-engineer or resell our optimization techniques. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service for violation of these terms.
The Ascendance.gg name, logo, website design, and service methodologies are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our branding or proprietary optimization techniques without our written consent.
Our refund policy is detailed on our Refund Policy page. By using our services, you agree to the terms of our refund policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. If we make material changes, we will notify users through our Discord server. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you have a dispute regarding our services, please contact us via Discord first so we can attempt to resolve it informally. We are committed to fair resolution of all customer concerns.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be handled through appropriate legal channels.
As part of our service process, you may be asked to run a diagnostic script that collects your PC's hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, motherboard, RAM, storage, and monitors). This information is used to prepare for your service session. The script uses CPU-Z, a well-known hardware identification tool. No personal files, browsing data, or software license keys are collected. You are not required to run this script, but doing so helps our staff deliver a better service.
Custom PC build requests submitted through our website are fulfilled by Lanforge, our parent company. When you submit a build request, the information you provide (name, email, build preferences, shipping address, etc.) is transmitted to Lanforge for the purpose of designing, quoting, and fulfilling your build. Lanforge's own terms and policies govern the build, payment, shipping, and warranty process. Ascendance.gg facilitates the request but is not directly responsible for the manufacturing, shipping, or warranty of custom-built PCs.
